Welcome to Firgrove House
Firgrove House Residential Home is a family run care home providing a warm, friendly and welcoming home, together with the very best level of care and support for 20 residents aged 65 years and over.
The accommodation at Firgrove House is arranged between two buildings, with landscaped grounds peacefully set back from Station Road. The property dates back to the 17th Century and was once a resting place for travellers on the Old Bristol to Tetbury stagecoach run. The Fir tree avenue that gave it it’s name are nearly all gone, and the accommodation now lends itself to the Main House, which offers residential care for 14 clients, and the cottage style conversion of the old Coach House which accommodates 6 clients.
The Main House and The Coach House have Care Staff available 24 hours a day. The aim of all staff at Firgrove House, is to create a warm and friendly environment for all our clients, making it a happy place to live.
The characteristic features of Firgrove House are successfully combined with modern facilities to create a traditional homely atmosphere together with the comfort and security of round the clock care. Our excellent team of care assistants, support assistants and house staff ensure our residents, and their relatives, have peace of mind in knowing they will receive the support and care required, whilst retaining their independence and enjoyment in life.

A few reasons to consider us
Excellent care and comfort at Firgrove House – None could beat this home
I enjoy the weekly cooking activities, it is fantastic to go to the pre-school and work with the children, reading and talking with them. It is good when I get communion and have contact with both the church in Almondsbury and the local Church
I always look forward to coming on Tuesdays and enjoy myself with the Residents
I think the manager and management do a very good job at creating a good atmosphere and create a lovely, friendly home. Its nice to see more activities arranged both inside the home and outside
Mum enjoys her time at Firgrove, she is very happy to go and thinks Rachel and the staff are very kind and caring and look after her well. She also really enjoys the food…the atmosphere is warm and caring and when I talk to residents they are very happy to live there and tell me so
Firgrove House is a little haven that is ran & managed with care, consideration and kindness at all times whilst keeping a huge degree of professionalism mum is very happy here.
Lovely Warm Welcome at a very stressful time for us but made so much easier by your team, thank you so much.
I just wanted to write and thank you for the quality of care mum received at Firgrove House. Its not just the good care going on at Firgrove, there’s something very special going on, the residents are very active and engage with each other and the staff, it was very noticeable. That’s all down to you and your dedicated staff. There was a lovely warm community feel to the place. When I need a respite break again I hope you won’t mind if I request mum stays with you again. Thank you for all your dedication.
Very impressed with manager and all staff we met – showed around all the home- we called unannounced.
The residential home manager carried out a comprehensive meeting explaining all service of Firgrove when dealing with my enquiry relating to my 98 year old mother
