ABOUT FIRGROVE HOUSE

ABOUT US

Firgrove House is part of the multi award winning Manor Community. Firgrove House provides person-centred, rehabilitative care and support to help people achieve their goals and aspirations. Our aim is to increase independence and our vision is to see outstanding person-centred practice throughout Adult Social Care sector.

Firgrove House is a recent addition to Manor Community’s offering, following its purchase in 2022. Firgrove House was owned by Mr & Mrs Roberts and since 1987 they have worked to upgrade and constantly improve the buildings, gardens and facilities to ensure the high standard you see today.

The home is ideally situated in a lovely quiet location set back from Station Road, within easy walking distance of the new Riverside shopping complex and close proximity to Chipping Sodbury High Street and Yate Shopping Centre. It benefits from many local amenities including the cinema, leisure centre, library, shopping facilities, restaurants, cafes and many local community facilities. There is also excellent transport links by bus, road and rail.

Residents at Firgrove House can choose to spend their time in the comfort of their own rooms, or they may like to join other residents in the 2 large lounges and enjoy a programme or film on the large LCD televisions. Perhaps take part in some daily activities, or sit with a book in our lovely Conservatory overlooking the patio and rose planted garden.

Firgrove House believes in providing traditional “good home cooking” and we have experienced cooks who provide home-made, wholesome and nutritious meals. Our kitchen has been awarded 5 Stars for consecutive years by Environmental Health. We always offer our residents a choice of menu, and we like to make meal times relaxed, enabling the residents to enjoy their meal. Residents can choose to have their meals in the dining areas or in their room if they prefer.

At Firgrove House, we strive to promote activity and have an ongoing programme of daily activities, entertainment, trips, seasonal events and special occasions to maintain both physical and mental well being. The daily care programme is organized as a response to clients’ individual and combined needs. Regular meetings are held with clients to assess the day to day running of Firgrove House. We are always keen to hear new ideas, and families and friends are encouraged to participate in all activities.
